Quentell Osbron

February 1, 1932 — March 10, 2020

Quentell Osbron, age 88 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, TN.

He retired as a vocational and technical instructor at the Carroll County Vo-Tech Center in Huntingdon, TN, where he taught appliance repair, refrigeration, and wiring.  Quentell was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris and had been a longtime member and deacon at Puryear Baptist Church.  He also served as a Gideon for many years in Henry County.  Quentell was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Korean War conflict.  He loved his family and enjoyed serving them along with his neighbors.

Quentell was born February 1, 1932, to the late Thomas Osbron and the late Pauline Evans Osbron.

He was married June 24, 1951, to Nelda Wimberley Osbron, who preceded him in death on March 6, 2010.

He is survived by his two daughters, Joyce (Buddy) Smothers of Hollow Rock, TN, and Marjorie LoVette of Foley, AL; son-in-law, Tim Miller of Paris, TN; two sisters, Bonnie Price of Birmingham, AL, and Shirley (Lindwell) Bradley of Panama City, FL; four grandchildren, Leigh Ann (Clint) Davis of Paris, TN, Michael (Ashleigh) Miller of Paris, TN, Daniel (Jessica) LoVette of Fairhope, AL, and Caleb LoVette of Foley, AL; and five great grandchildren, Cole Davis of Paris, TN, Charlie Davis of Paris, TN, Annsleigh Miller of Paris, TN, Baylor LoVette of Fairhope, AL, and Julian LoVette of Fairhope, AL.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Paula Ann Miller; and one sister, Brenda Osbron.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, March 12, 2020, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and continue Friday, March 13, 2020, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am.  The funeral service will be Friday, March 13, 2020, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Mike Rhodes officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Gamlin, Tim Brannon, Tony Brannon, Mike Gallimore, Steve Gallimore, and Glynn Gallimore.

Burial will be in Jones Chapel Cemetery in Paris, TN.
