Phyllis Copas, age 96 of Springville, TN, died Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Henry County Healthcare Center in Paris.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed baking and cooking. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and formerly attended chapel services at Buchanan Resort in Henry County. Phyllis formerly kept and cared for children while she was living in Indiana. She enjoyed collecting blue glass and dolls.
Phyllis was born April 30, 1924, in Tipton County, IN, to the late Ernie Gullion and the late Minnie Hobbs Gullion.
She was married October 24, 1953, to Lloyd Copas, who preceded her in death on December 24, 2000.
She is survived by her three children, Peggy (Bill) Hebner of Springville, TN, Sally McFall of Indiana, and Billy Allen Boyer of Indiana; one sister, Janice (Bruce) LaCharite of Indiana; one brother, Philip “Flip” (Judy) Gullion of California; three grandchildren, Michael Barker, Scott McFall, and Kent McFall; several great grandchildren; and special friends, Deanna and Aaron Hawkins and their daughter, Natalie Hawkins.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Karen Harbaugh and Alice Beaver; four brothers, Dick Gullion, Ernie Gullion, Fred Gullion, and Billy Joe Gullion; and one grandson, John R. Barker.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. The body is to be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
