Peggy Scott

Peggy Scott, age 86, of Paris, Tenn., died Thursday, October 16, 2014, at her residence in Paris, Tenn.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris.    She retired after 35 years from East Wood Clinic as a nurse.    She was a W.G. Rhea Library Supporter for many years and enjoyed gardening.

Peggy was born February 17, 1928 in Paris, TN to the late Roy Bowen and the late Verna Walker Bowen.

She is survived by her  Two Daughters,  Sheila (Gary) Hunter of Bruceton, Tenn,   Elizabeth "Libby" (Marty) Lewis of Paris, Tenn;   Four Grandchildren, Jay Dyer, Jon Dyer and Fiancee Savanna Cooper, Daniel (Megan) Lewis, and Michael Lewis.

Besides her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by Sisters, Minnie Alice Craig and Virginia Solmon and infant sister, Roy Nelle Bowen.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Sunday, October 19, 2014 and after 9 am Monday, October 20, 2014.   The   Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of  Ridgeway Funeral Home at 11:00 am Monday, October 20, 2014.

Pallbearers will be Jay Dyer, Jon Dyer, Daniel Lewis, Michael Lewis, Gary Hunter, and Marty Lewis.    Honorary Pallbearers will be Barry P. McIntosh Jr., Glenn Jackson, Jerry Dewitt, and Dr. Mickey Norman.

Interment will be at Birds Creek Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
