Pauline Carter Spaulding, age 98, of Paris, died Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the Paris Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born December 6, 1918, in Paris, she was the daughter of the late William Charlie Carter and the late Ruth Foust Carter.
Pauline was a member of Fairview Baptist Church for 65 years, where she taught children’ Sunday School Classes and was very active in other aspects of her church She was a graduate of EW Grove High School Class of 1936. She formerly worked at the A.C. variety store in Paris.
Pauline was married to Richard E. “Dick” Spaulding on November 26, 1936, and he preceded her in death on February 14, 2006.
Survivors include her daughter: Dixie Hines of Paris, TN; one niece Janet LaFave of Athens, GA; a great nephew, Trey LaFave of Atlanta, GA; and a special caregiver and friend Andrea Caldwell of Paris, TN.
Besides her husband and parents, Pauline was also preceded in death by her sister, Earline Williams.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. and continue on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 12 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. A graveside service will be held Monday, August 28, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Johnathan Smith officiating.
Pallbearers for the service are Robert Dickinson, Dr. Robin Rice, Trey LaFave, Mac Caldwell, Andre Champagne, Paul Copeland, Jimmy Green and Jeff Hines.
Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Paris, TN.
