Clara Pauline Moon, age 87 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Towne Square Care in Puryear, TN.
She was Valedictorian of the Puryear School graduating Class of 1947. She retired from Holley Carburetor Plant in Paris after 36 years of employment. She formerly worked at Salant & Salant, and in the cafeteria at Henry County High School. She loved country music, and played music in the Little Opry in Henry, TN and various other places. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and writing poetry. She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church in Paris.
Pauline was born was born November 25, 1929, in Mansfield, TN, to the late John William Nimmo and the late Ada Laverne Simmons Nimmo.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Ronnie) Turner of Paris, TN, and Patsy (David) Langford of Paris, TN; one son, Rickey (Debbie) Moon, of Paris, TN; four grandchildren, Will (Melissa) King, George (Miranda) Miller, Steve (Tweed) McKinney, and Josh Moon; and three great grandchildren, Hunter Miller, Kyleigh Miller, and Garrett Wayne McKinney.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Terry L. Moon; and one sister Dorothy Clayton.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Monday, November 13, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and continue on Tuesday November 14, 2017, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Micheal Barnhart officiating.
Pallbearers for the service will be Johnny Myrick, Bobby Steele, Ronnie Herman, Dale Nolen, Nubbin Nolen, and Jerry King.
Burial will follow in Shady Grove Cemetery in Paris, TN.
