Paul Eugene Parish

Paul Eugene Parish, age 80 of Cordova, TN, formerly of Paris, TN died Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Methodist Hospital in Germantown, TN.

Eugene was a Graduate of E.W. Grove High School where he was a standout football player and went on to play football at Memphis State where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management.  He was a member and deacon at Crossroads Baptist Church in Cordova, TN and he was active in the Men’s Prison Ministry.  He worked as an air traffic controller for many years in Nashville and Memphis.  He also enjoyed playing tennis.

Eugene was born August 13, 1937 in Paris, TN to the late O.L. Parish and the late Eunice “Billie” Wilson Parish.

He was married on November 25, 1960 to Linda Heern Parish and she survives of Cordova, TN.  He is also survived by two sons, Jeff (Martha) Parish of Largo, FL and Kyle (Mandi) Parish of Paris, TN; one brother, Leroy (Kay) Parish of Paris, TN;  seven grandchildren, Sarah (Nathan) Robbins, Dorothy Parish, Christopher Parish, Carey Parish, Raven Page, Matthew Parish, and Andrew Parish; and one great grandchild, Evie Robbins.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.

There will be a memorial service on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Crossroads Baptist Church, 125 South Houston Levee, Eads, TN.  The family will receive friends at 5:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm.

A graveside service and burial will be Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Bevil Cemetery in Paris, TN with his son, Bro. Jeff Parish officiating.
