Paul Delano Setlech Sr.

Paul Delano Setlech Sr., age 88 of Buchanan, TN, died Monday, December 30, 2024, at West Tennessee Health Care Henry County Hospital in Paris.

Paul retired from Caterpillar as an engineer after over 30 years of dedicated service. He was also an active member of Point Pleasant Baptist Church. He was licensed to the ministry and devoted himself to teaching Sunday school and participating in mission work. Additionally, he served as a chaplain with Henry County Hospice for 17 years.

Paul was born April 23, 1936, in Peoria, IL, to the late Nicholas Setlech and the late Melba Coons Setlech Gaskey. 

Paul married Rosalie Shaw Setlech December 1, 1956, and she survives of Buchanan, TN.

Along with his wife, Paul is survived by one daughter, Debra Anderson Moorefield of Southport, NC; one son, Paul Setlech Jr. of Peoria, IL; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Setlech of NY, and Diane Thompson of IL; and one sister-in-law, Shirley Setlech Adkins of TX.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Setlech. 

Local arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. A memorial service will be held locally at a later date.
