Patricia L. Antwine age 80, died Thursday March 24, 2016 at her residence in Springville, TN. Born in Lansing, MI, she was the daughter of the late Edward William O’Toole and the late Jeanette Maria Connell O’Toole.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11:00 am in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Rev. Paul McAdoo officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday at the funeral home from 4 -7 pm and again on Saturday after 9 am until her service.
Pat devoted her life to family, friends and sharing her musical talent from Michigan State classes that she so cherished. While living in Milan, TN she played the piano and organ at both Northside and Oakwood Baptist Churches. She moved to Greenfield in 1979, where she played the pipe organ at the United Presbyterian Church. In 1991 she moved to Henry County where her talents followed. She spent 6 years with the Presbyterian Church mostly with the Bell Choir. She then spent 8 years as the organist for Russwood Baptist Church. During all this time, she was the director of the Rainbow of Sound, a woman’s community chorus. Her last musical blessing was playing the piano at Antioch United Methodist Church for 3years which ended in 2012. She was the President of the American Legion Aux # 89 in 1995-1996, where she lead with pride serving veterans, youth and the community as a whole with fundraising that benefited the aforementioned groups. Pat always enjoyed activities that including visiting nursing homes and the VA Hospital where she could share her enjoyment of music.
Pat spent most of her professional career as a Benefits Manager for the World Color Press in Dresden, TN., from which she retired in 1993.
She is survived by two daughters: Kathleen M. (Harris) Manning of Loveland , CO, Colleen D. Dunn and friend Reedy King of Springville, TN ; two sons: Daniel D. Tharp of Springville,TN and Dale W. (Kay) Tharp of Elkhart, WI., eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; a niece- Jan Parrish, a nephew- Ed Allen; a sister in law- Mary Eubanks and two brothers-in law: Jimmy (Sherry ) Antwine & Jerry Antwine.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Neal Antwine and a sister Eileen M. Allen.
