Pamela Gail Presson "Pam" Vawter

Pamela Gail Presson “Pam” Vawter, age 50 of Clarksville, TN, formerly of Paris, died Thursday, February 10, 2022, at TriStar NorthCrest Medical Center in Springfield, TN.

She was a graduate of Henry County High School in Paris and Belmont University in Nashville, TN.  After graduating from Belmont, she attended Nashville School of Law where she received Juris Doctor degree.  Pam worked as a lawyer for the state of Tennessee.  She enjoyed Shakespeare, going to the movies, and loved her cats.

Pam was born April 13, 1971, in Memphis, TN, to the late Johnny Presson and the late Camilla Bain Presson.

She was married in October 1995, to Michael Edward Vawter, who preceded her in death on November 26, 1995.

She is survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Betty Vawter of Madison, TN; aunts, Juanita Sparks of Paris, and Joan Bain of Huntingdon, TN; special family, Jack and Pam Sparks of Paris; sister-in-law, Christy Vawter Smith; brothers-in-law, Mark Wesley Vawter and Matthew Allen Vawter; and several cousins.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Dale Presson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  A private family graveside service will be held.
