Allie Ozane Moody Bass, age 92 of Paris, TN, died Monday August 10, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.
She was born December 25, 1922 in Paris, TN to the late Andrew Mitchell Moody and the late Atchie Hancock Moody.
Ozane married Harold Nolan Bass Sr. March 29, 1946 and he preceded in death July 3, 2015. She was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church and was a Charter member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She was a US Army Veteran of WW II and was a former Den mother in Cub Scouts and a member of the Eastern Star. She formerly worked at Holley Carburetor Plant. Ozane was very family oriented. She loved cooking big family dinners and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed flowers and working at the church and vacation Bible School.
Ozane is survived by her Daughter, Melody (Randy) Long of Paris, TN; Two Sons, Harold Bass Jr. of Henry, TN, and Bobby (Jamie) Bass of Henderson, TN; Daughter-in-law, Joyce Lipford Bass of Paris, TN; Grandchildren, Ryan (Crystal) Long of Camp Lejeune, NC, Hunter (Lori) Long of Lebanon, TN, Mark Nolan (Wendy) Bass of Paris, TN, Justin Curtis Bass of Paris, TN, Leslie Steenbergen of Franklin, KY, Tracy (Joey) Smith of Henderson, TN, Jessica (Keith) Smith of Beech Bluff, TN, Donnie (Jennifer) Bass of Paris, TN, Dennis Mitchell Bass of Memphis, TN, and Lisa Bass Ashley of Paris; and 19 Great Grandchildren.
Besides her Husband and Parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Andrew “Andy” Mitchell Bass; Daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Bomar Bass; and a Great-Grandchild, Stacy Ann Bass.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Thursday August 13, 2015 at Ridgeway Funeral Home from 4 – 7 pm and on Friday from 10 am – 1 pm. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm Friday August 14, 2015 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home. Emily Walker will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mark Bass, Justin Bass, Dennis Bass, Donnie Bass, Ryan Long, and Hunter Long. Joey Smith and Keith Smith are named as Honorary Pallbearers.
Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery.
