Ora "Mae" Holland

Ora “Mae” Holland, age 88 of Puryear, died Sunday, January 12, 2025, at her residence.

Mae was a night manager at Jim Adams IGA of Murray, Ky for 20 years. She was a valedictorian of her class at Puryear School in 1956. She loved spending time with her family, reading and sitting on her porch. Mae enjoyed watching Dancing with the Stars and soap operas. She was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan and loved talking about the Wildcats.

She was born on October 14, 1936, in Puryear, TN to the late Heston David Paschall, Jr. and to the late Mary Frances Paschall.

In 1957, she married William P. Holland, who preceded her in death on January 6, 2008.

She is survived by her two daughters, Donna Booth of Puryear, TN, Wanda (Tim) Hawkins of Murray, KY; three grandchildren, Justin (Candice) Booth, Jordan (Amy) Booth, and William (Nikki Stom) Turner; six great-grandsons, Jadon Booth, Jackson Booth, Gunner Booth, Miloh Turner, Madix Turner, and Micah Turner; six great-granddaughters, Danielle Booth, Hazel Booth, Madison Booth, Journey Booth, and Jayln Booth, and a close friend, Pam Roberson.

Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Paschall Pillow.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./PO Box 788, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling her arrangements. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Jarrod Martin officiating.

Burial will follow at Foundry Hill Community of Christ Cemetery in Puryear, TN with Tim Hawkins, Justin Booth, Jadon Booth, Jordan Booth, William Turner, and Jackson Booth, serving as pallbearers.
