For two weeks, Novis has said that she was ready to go Home, and then on April 10, 2015 at 9:29 am, she went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Novis Rae Scarborough Carl was 77, and passed away at her residence in Paris, Tenn.
Novis was 1 of 13 children in her family. She married James T. Carl June 19, 1975 and he survives. She worked as a Medical Secretary for several years. She was a member of West Paris Baptist Church and she enjoyed spending time with her Grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was born January 6, 1938 in Ila, GA to the late Robert Scarborough and the late Maude Marie Hyde Scarborough.
Besides her Husband James, she is also survived by her One Daughter, Sandra E. Long of Humboldt, Tenn; Two Sons, Bo (Cindi) Jones of Springfield, Tenn, Alan (Nancy) Jones of Murfreesboro, Tenn; Two Brothers, Royce (Betty) Scarborough of Kannapolis, N.C., Melvin (Judy) Scarborough of Phenix City, Ala; Grandchildren, Natalie (Jeremy) Cannon, Zack (Brandy) Jones, Brandon (Bobbie) Jones, Ben Long, Nick (Alicia) Jones and Elizabeth Jones.
Besides her Parents, she was preceded in death by 10 other siblings.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 12 – 1 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2015.
Dwight Mercer and Cliff Evans will officiate. Pallbearers will be Zack Jones, Brandon Jones, Nick Jones, Jeremy Cannon, Ben Long, and David Carl.
Interment will be at Walker Cemetery in Paris, Tenn.
