Norma Kay Hopkins Forsythe, age 80, of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at her residence in Paris, TN.
Kay was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church and the Martha Chapter 155 Order of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed traveling.
She was born November 6, 1936, in Springville, TN, to the late William Eli Hopkins and the late Della McDaniel Hopkins.
Kay was married January 21, 1985, in Brownsville, TX, to James R. “Jim” Forsythe, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by one daughter, Leigh (John) Humphries of Brandon, MS; two sons, Kenny Maurice Lacy and special friend Carol Pinson of Paris, TN, and William Timothy (Mary Lynn) Lacy of Puryear, TN; two sisters, Regina Lamb of Paris, TN and Dorothy Ward of Paris, TN; one brother, Keith (Patricia) Hopkins of Paris, TN; six grandchildren, Jay Humphries, Macon Humphries, Joe Humphries, Amber Leann (Russell) Hill, Kaylynn Lacy, and James Lacy; and two great grandchildren, Ashlyn Aaron and Kane Price.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Dorris Hopkins.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Wednesday, June 7, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm, and continue Thursday June 8, 2017, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, June 8, 2017 at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Corey Cain and Craig Peevyhouse officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Pennington, Larry Pennington, James Lacy, Randy McCarty, Tommy Lemonds, Bennie Akers, Jay Humphries, and Macon Humphries.
Burial will follow in Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
