Nona Manha, age 90 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Paris Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Paris, TN.
She was a homemaker who recently moved from Reno, NV, to Tennessee to be closer to several family members. Nona loved sewing & scrapbooking, working in her yard, and enjoyed her flowers. She was an active member of the Sierra Vista Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Reno, NV, where she was very faithful in her ministry as one of Jehovah’s witnesses. She was a devoted wife who loved being a mother and grandmother. She was very hospitable and generous, and a good friend who cared for others.
Nona was born July 20, 1927, in Coalville, UT, to the late Frank Tow and the late Delilah Hill Tow.
She was married December 11, 1943, to her husband of 65 years, Joe Manha, Jr., who preceded her in death in February 2009.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Monck of Paris, TN; one son, Danny (Linda) Manha of Reno, NV; six grandchildren, Ben (Brandie) Monck, Jonah (Jessica) Monck, Tony (Mika) Monck, Heidi (Zach) Bales, Justice (Nicole) Manha, and Andrea Manha; and eight great grandchildren, Sage (Austen) Keen, Acacia Monck, Paisley Phillips, Oliver Phillips, Evelyn Bales, Zeke Bales, Joanna Manha, and Miranda Manha.
Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Fay Reinhold, Georgia White, and Phyllis Tow; and one brother, Jim Tow.
Local arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Walton's Funeral Home, 875 W 2nd St, Reno, NV 89503, where visitation will be Wednesday, May 23, 2018, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm.
