Nikolaos Karathanasis, age 75, of Paris, Tenn., died Monday, April 13, 2015, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, Tenn.
Nikolaos married Maria Toubanos Karathanasis in 1963 and she survives. He was born in Greece and served in the Military. He was a self-employed carpenter.
He was born March 23, 1940 in Katafygio, Greece to the late Georgios Karathanasis and the late Aspasia Zacharopoulou Karathanasis.
Besides his wife, he is also survived by his Three Daughters, Eleni Karathanasis of Paris, Tenn, Aspasia Karathanasis of Greece, Panagiota Karathanasis of Paris, Tenn; Four Sons, Georgios Karathanasis of Humboldt, Tenn, Antonios Karathanasis of Dyersburg, Tenn, Leonidas Karathanasis of Union City, Tenn, Lampros Karathanasis of Greece; 14 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2015 at St. Nicholas Orthdox Church at 419 Old Humboldt Rd., Jackson, Tennessee 38305. The Funeral service will be at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church at 12:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2015.
Burial will be in Katafygio, Greece at a later date
