Nancy Euline Madden, age 69 of McKenzie, TN, died Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at LifeCare of Bruceton.
Nancy was born October 18, 1955, in Ripley, TN, to the late James L. Mathis and late Dathel Ownby Mathis. She married Rickie Lawrence Madden on May 24, 1974, who survives of McKenzie, TN.
Nancy was a devoted member of Maplewood Baptist Church in Paris, where her love for learning and compassion for others shone brightly. She dedicated her life to caring for foster children at the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home. With a passion for genealogy, she turned her discoveries of her family’s history into a published book.
Along with her husband, she is survived by two children, Brandy (Reuben) Brazelton of Huntsville, AL, and Liston Madden of Paris, TN; two sisters, Trudi (Wayne) Bannister of McKenzie, TN, and Karen Mathis of McKenzie, TN; one brother, Dwayne (Jan) Mathis of Paris, TN; along with a host of extended family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Quinn, and one brother, James Paul Mathis.
Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Her remains will be cremated with a memorial service to be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Rose Lawn Memory Garden Chapel with Craig Peevyhouse officiating.
