Miller Smith

Miller Smith, age 79 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, April 5, 2018, in Paris, TN.

He was married in 1978 to Frances Redden Smith, who survives, of Paris, TN.

He formerly worked at Emerson Electric.  He also formerly owned and operated ABC Mini Storage, Highway 77 Auto, and Paris Golf Driving Range.  He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Paris.  He loved his dog, “Mandy.”

Miller was born January 11, 1939, in Paris, TN, to the late Joe Henry Smith and the late Grace Thompson Smith.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by five children, Richard (Jennifer) Miller Smith of Crossville, TN, Kimberly Dawn Goble of Jacksonville, FL, Cindy Karole (Mateo) Palacios of Lebanon, TN, Fern Tess (Bobby) Robbins of Paris, TN, and Lynne (Scott) Bynum of Long Island, AL; one sister, Faye Smith Collins of NM; two brothers, Billy (Nancy) Smith of Paris, TN, and Guy (Sandra) Smith of Paris, TN; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Cynthia Loren Smith; and one brother-in-law, Leo Collins.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, April 7, 2018, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Sunday, April 8, 2018, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Sunday, April 8, 2018, at 4:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Glynn Orr and Lynn Paschall officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Bynum, Bobby Robbins, Jason Ward, Clint Stephens, Alex Adcock, and Brandon Smith.  Honorary pallbearers will be Horace Whitehead, Jack Thacker, Jerry Brogdon, Billy Smith, Guy Smith and Gaylon Morris.

Burial will be Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
