Michael Myatt

Michael Ray Myatt age 65 of Paris died Friday, February 17, 2023, at the Henry County Medical Center.

Michael was a retired machinist, but his passion in life was music. He could play anything with strings. He enjoyed making music, listening to music, and recording music. He had formerly attended the Harris School of Art. Michael also made many magic wands for magicians worldwide. Magic books were a big part of his book collection. He also enjoyed watching movies and was very interested in their special effects. Michael very much enjoyed nature and growing things.

Born January 3, 1958, in Paris, he was the son of the late Dalton Hampton Myatt and the late Dorothy “Dot” Easley Myatt.

He married Soth Soeun November 13, 2004, and she survives of Paris.

Along with his wife, he is also survived by four children, Brooke (John) Burgess of Gallatin, TN, Valerie (Griffen) Hanan of Fairview, TN, Jacob Myatt, and Davian Myatt, both of Paris; a brother, Roger (Anita) Myatt of Chattanooga, TN; and three grandchildren, Natalie Garton, Braedyn Myatt, and Harper Myatt.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 2-4 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home. A time of sharing will begin at 4 pm.

Cremation will follow the service.
