Melissa "Lisa Jo" Hassell

Melissa “Lisa Jo” Hassell, age 59 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, June 11, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family at Henry Church of Christ.  Lisa Jo loved her cat, “Grey Baby” and her dog, “Paws.”  She also enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Lisa Jo was born September 15, 1960 in Chicago, IL, to the late Jamie Hassell and the late Barbara Lamarr Valentine Hassell.

She is survived by two sisters, Dawn Wilbanks of Henry, TN, and Dianne (Tommy) Hill of Shreveport, LA; one brother, Jon Kevin (Denise) Hassell of Paris, TN; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 14, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Bethesda Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Roger Graham officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Valentine, Quentin Halliburton, Jeremy Scoggins, Patrick Peale, Jerry Peale, and Jordan Wilbanks.  Named as honorary pallbearers are Matthew Wilbanks, Camren Carter, Ethan Ray, and Jakob Ray.

Burial will follow the graveside service in Bethesda Cemetery.
