Maxine Key Greer, age 87, of the Whitlock Community in Paris, TN, died Friday, January 26, 2018, at the Paris Healthcare Center.
She was a member of the Birds Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who had formerly worked at Salant & Salant, the Clippard Plant and the old Whitlock store. She enjoyed gardening and was a big supporter of Helping Hand.
Born May 13, 1930, in Paris she was the daughter of the late Samuel Wilson “Hop” Key and the late Manon Futrell Key.
She married on September 7, 1947, to Willie M. Greer who survives of the Whitlock Community in Paris, TN.
Survivors include: a daughter: Vikki Grissom of Paris, TN; two grandchildren: Cayce Grissom of Nashville, TN, and Caleb Grissom of Paris, TN.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by a son: Brooks M. Greer and one brother: Thomas Key.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cayce Grissom, Caleb Grissom, Jim McCampbell, Randy Valentine, Robert Alexander and Max Middleton. The Deacons’ wives of Birds Creek Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., and continue Monday, January 29, 2018, from 12:00 p.m. until her service. Her funeral service will be Monday, January 29, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Kevin Gallimore and Jerry Lee officiating.
Burial will follow in Birds Creek Cemetery in Paris, TN.
