Mattie Singleton Drew, age 87, of Paris, Tenn., died Monday, October 26, 2015, at Paris Healthcare & Rehab Center in Paris, Tenn.
Mattie was born December 25, 1927 in Mansfield, TN to the late James Beacher Hoofman and the late Lola Bell McMean Hoofman.
She was first married to Howard Singleton Jan. 14, 1946 who died in March 1991 then she married Harry Drew who died in September 2001
She retired from Henry County Nursing Home and Henry County Medical Center after many years. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and she loved her family very much.
She is survived by her Three Daughters, Gail Singleton of Paris, Tenn, Sherry (Frank) Wynn of South Fulton, Tenn, Charlotte (Donald) Singleton Milam of Paris, Tenn; Three Sons, Harold Singleton & friend Jackie McIntire of Paris, Tenn, Ronnie (Sue) Singleton of Paris, Tenn, Dale Singleton of Paris, Tenn; Two Sisters, Margaret Flood of Whitlock, Tenn, Lula Reeves of Portland, Tenn; Grandchildren, Michael (Sharon) Singleton, Jacky (Tasha) Melton, Ron Singleton, Chris (Laurie) Pierpoint, Suzanna "Susan" (James) Meadows, Lexi Singleton, Brian (Krystal) Singleton, Matthew Milam, and Jared (Hannah Choate) Milam; Great Grandchildren, Analyn Singleton, Jenia Singleton, Branson Singleton, Andrew Reed, Kaylee Duncan, Carlee Meadows, Brody Singleton, Fairren Kay Milam, and Josh Wyatt; and Several Great-Great Grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by Sisters, Catherine Ledford, Lola Page, and Evelyn Hoofman; Brothers, J.B. Hoofman, and Jimmy Hoofman; and Grandson, Jamie Singleton.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where the visitation will be from 4 – 7 pm Thursday, October 29, 2015 and from 11 am – 1 pm Friday, October 30, 2015. The Funeral Service will be at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 pm Friday, October 30, 2015.
Jack Thacker will officiate. Grandsons will serve as Pallbearers and Suzanna “Susan” Meadows is named as an Honorary Pallbearer.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, Tenn.
