Mary Patti Powell

Mary Patti Powell, age 72 of Puryear, TN, died Sunday, June 28, 2020, at AHC of Paris.

She formerly worked delivering flowers at Cheryl’s Flowers in Paris. She was also a housekeeper for several families in Henry County for many years.  Patti enjoyed nature, animals, going fishing, and listening to Scottish music.  She also loved spending time with her family.

Patti was born May 22, 1948, in Columbia, TN, to the late William Edgar Potts, Sr., and to the late Lena May Hodge Potts.

She married April 27, 1970, to Odis Carl Powell, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1983.

Patti is survived by one daughter, Melissa (Jeff) Scott of Puryear, TN; one son, James “Jamie” (Amanda) Powell of Paris, TN; and four grandchildren, Jacob Scott, Kirah Scott, Kevin Powell, and Macey Powell.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Selma Ann Jackson: and one brother, William Edgar “Buddy” Potts, Jr.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN 38242.  The body is to be cremated. A memorial visitation will be held Friday July 3, 2020 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Tennessee Valley Community Church, 2500 East Wood Street, Paris, TN 38242.  The memorial service will be Friday, July 3, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Tennessee Valley Community Church.
