Mary Ann Crowder

Mary Ann Hastings Crowder, age 100 of Paris, TN, died Monday, May 20, 2019 at Paris Heathcare Center.

She was a member of Oak Hill Union Church where she was the oldest living member and was Baptist by faith.  She was a homemaker.  She enjoyed quilting, cooking, and taking care of her flowers and her family.

Mary Ann was born on February 4, 1919 in Henry County, TN to the late William Hastings and the late Lula Mae Walters Hastings.

She was married on November 5, 1938 to James E. “Edd” Crowder and he preceded her in death on July 12, 1994.

She is survived by seven daughters, Iva Lou (Denton) Evans of Paris, TN, Judy Shankle of Paris, TN, Eddlene (Tena) Spence of Jacksonville, FL, Jeanette Dodd of Paris, TN, Wilma Key of Paris, TN, Donna (Terry) Farris of Paris, TN, and Alecia Galindo of Paris, TN; one son, Samuel Edward “Sam Edd” (Peggy) Crowder of Paris, TN;  four sisters-in-law, Lillian Hastings of Paris, TN, Marjorie Ward of Memphis, TN, Maureen Evans of Memphis, TN, and Nira Crowder of Puryear, TN; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 16 great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Mary Ann was also preceded in death by three sons-in-law, Noah Paschall, Tommy Key, and Albert Dodd; one sister, Lorene Richardson; and one brother, Berlie Hastings.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.   Visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 from 4 – 8 pm and Wednesday from 9 am - 11 am.  The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Glynn Orr and Bro. Randy Kuykendall officiating

Pallbearers will be Rusty Evans, Danny Paschall, Jimmy Paschall, Scott Galindo, Vince Dodd, Mike Key, John Farris, Donnie Woodard, and Rob Woodard.

Burial will follow in Oak Hill Union Church Cemetery north of Paris.
