Former Emerson Electric Co. employee Mary Frances Cox Steele, 74, of Springville died Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013, at her residence.
Her body was cremated.
Burial is planned later in Walker Cemetery.
No visitation or service is scheduled. Ridgeway Funeral Home was in charge.
Born Nov. 10, 1938, in Puryear, she was a daughter of the late Buster and Willie Evelyn Sullivan Cox.
She was a member of Russwood Baptist Church.
She leaves two daughters: Tona Davenport of Mansfield and Glenda Barto and special friend Peter Burn of Portland, Ore.; a son-in-law: Wendell Matthews of Springville; two sisters: Lena Ruth (Jimmy) Priddy of Paris and Barbara (Charles) Capps of Nashville; one brother: Steve (Jo Ann) Cox of Paris;
Four grandchildren: Scott Faux, Linda Matthews, Austin Davenport and Violet Burn; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter: Deborah Ann Matthews on April 15, 2012.
