Mary Lynn Bratton Lacy age 56 of Puryear, TN, died Sunday, November 24, 2024, at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
Mary Lynn had previously worked as a teacher’s assistant in special education and Kids’ Corner at Harrelson School in Puryear. She was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church. Mary Lynn loved kids, babies, and animals. She was a sweet, loving, and caring person, who always put others’ needs before her own. Mary Lynn loved her family very much.
Mary Lynn married William Timothy “Tim” Lacy September 6, 1996, and he survives of Puryear.
She was born May 7, 1968, in Warren, MI, and was the daughter of the late Billy Gene “Bill” Bratton, and the late Reba Joe West Bratton.
Along with her husband of 28 years, she is also survived by her two children, Kaylynn Jo Lacy of Puryear, and James Timothy Lacy and his fiancée Lauren Moody of Odessa, TX; a sister, Flossie (Steve) Smith, a brother, Harold (Debbie) Bratton, both of Puryear; six nieces and nephews, Billy (Crystal) Smith, Judy (Benny) Price, John Alan (Tori) Smith, Frankie (Amanda) Scott, Steven (Amber) Scott, and Amber Hill; fifteen great nieces and great nephews, Madison, Hunter, Austin, Justin, Maci, Wesley, Kinlee, Claire, Nolan, Madeline, Nathan, Alexis, Aiden, Ashlyn, and Kane; and a great great niece, Piper, and a great great nephew, Cashton.
Special survivors include her dogs, Spirit, Barley, and her grand dog Daisie,
Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, and continue Wednesday, November 27, 2024, from 9:00 until 11:00 am. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Chad Kennedy officiating.
Serving as pallbearers for the service will be John Smith, Billy Smith, James Lacy, Benny Price, Hunter Smith, Justin Price, Austin Price, and Kaylynn Lacy.
Wesley Smith, Nolan Lee, John Walters, Harold Bratton, Randy McCarty, Steve Smith, Eric Taylor, and Wyatt Buffington will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Burial will be in the Walker Cemetery.
