Mary Ellen Hartle

Mary Ellen Hartle age 94 of Paris died Friday, December 20, 2024, at her residence.

Mary Ellen was a retired travel agent who worked for the Chicago Board of Travel in Chicago, IL. She was an avid reader who enjoyed traveling and volunteering her time to help others. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

She was born October 9, 1930, in Chicago, IL, to the late Daniel Zuidema, and the late Eleanore Agnes McGuire.

Mary was married January 20, 1952, to LeRoy A. Hartle, Jr., who preceded her in death April 4, 2005.

Survivors include a daughter, Melody (Scott) Nossem of Big Sandy, TN; a son, William M. (Ann) Hartle of Mongomery, IL; ten grandchildren; and several great and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, LeRoy A. “Lee” Hartle, III, and Robert D. “Bert” Hartle; and one brother, Daniel E. Zuidema.

Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St./P.O. 788, Paris, TN, 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Her body is to be cremated with no services at this time.
