Martha Stark

The funeral service for homemaker Martha Jean Stark of Paris will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

John Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today and after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Stark, 81, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, at her residence.

She was married on July 3, 1970, to Joe Hal Stark, who survives.

Born Feb. 15, 1932, in Buchanan, she was the daughter of the late Lester E. and Marjorie Jackson Jackson.

She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she leaves one daughter: Pamela Jean “Pam” Smith of Memphis; one son: Bruce Alan (Becki) Walker of Buchanan; two brothers: Kent (Martha) Jackson and Keith (Betsy) Jackson, both of Paris;

Four grandchildren: Chantal (Hal) Orr, Broc (Shannon) Walker, Brian (Natasha) Griffin and Meredith Smith and husband Mario Acosta; four great-grandchildren; and a special caregiver: Brenda Carver.
