Mark William Moore

Mark William Moore, age 68 of Springville, TN, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, April 23, 2025.

Mark was born on July 5, 1956 to the late Donald Lee Moore and the late Doris Linkogle Moore in Alton, IL.

On September 11, 2010, Mark married Lea Calipay Moore, who survives of Springville, TN.

Mark served as a deacon at New Harmony Baptist Church and was a proud retiree of Laborers Local 218 in Alton, IL. He was also a member of the Henry County Gideons International. An avid sportsman, Mark found great joy in fishing and hunting. Above all, he had a deep passion for sharing his faith—he loved telling others about Jesus and made it his mission to distribute Bibles to as many people as he could.

Along with his wife, Mark is survived by one stepdaughter, Julie Ann Swarringin of Staunton, IL; four sisters, Jan (Gary) Kreutzberg of Highland, IL, Sally Linkogle of Edwardsville, IL, Terry Ann Moore of East Alton, IL, and Kelly Mattozzi of Virginia; two brothers, Mike (Wanda) Moore of East Alton, IL, and Pat Moore of Godfrey, IL; and one step-granddaughter, Carley Swarringin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Moore.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street, Paris, TN, 38242, is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at New Harmony Baptist Church. His funeral service will be at New Harmony Baptist Church at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, with Howard Kitter officiating.

Burial will follow at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN, with Jeremy Boyd, Rusty Turner, Don Taylor, Dennis Reese, Scott Morrison, and Charles McDavid serving as pallbearers.
