Mark Meketi

Mark Andrew Meketi, age 59 of Paris, TN, died Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, after suffering from long-term chronic health conditions.

Known to his friends as “Bucky,” he was a full-time father to his son, Drew, and a self-employed landscaper.  He enjoyed reading, fishing, cooking, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mark was born February 6, 1960, in Aurora, IL, to the late John Meketi and the late Elizabeth Collins Meketi.

He is survived by one son, Drew Meketi of Paris, TN; two sisters, Paula Scott of Paris, TN, and Kathy Pechavar of Edgewater, FL; two brothers, Tom Meketi of Bosque, NM, and John “Jack” Meketi of Gravette, AR; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by the mother of his son, Dani Renee Brecker; their daughter, Jetta Brecker; two sisters, Marcia Page and Laurie Meketi; and two brothers, Dale Meketi and David Meketi.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  The body is to be cremated.  A celebration of life visitation will be held Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm at Holy Cross Catholic Church Gymnasium, 1210 East Wood Street, Paris, TN 38242.
