Mark Christopher Dupes, age 60 of Columbia, TN, formerly of Paris, died Friday, December 8, 2017, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Mark was raised in Paris and graduated from Henry County High School in 1975. He was an outstanding tennis player in his younger years. He was a former off-shore fisherman for several years, and also worked in property maintenance for many years. Mark was active in coaching youth football. He also enjoyed watching football and boating.
Mark was born June 9, 1957, in Detroit, MI, to the late Mary Lou Owens Dupes.
He is survived by four children, Jessee (Lauren) Dupes of Columbia, TN, Mark Dupes of Columbia, TN, Amber Wakefield of Columbia, TN, and Eugene Sanderson of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren, Maxwell Sanderson, Nicholas Wakefield, Connor Wakefield, Ryan Wakefield, Mark Dupes, Grayson Dupes, and Adelynn Dupes; former wife, Joyce Dupes of South Carolina; special friend, Nora Purdue of Portland, TN; and several cousins.
Along with his mother, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Bob Hudgins; one stepsister, Marilyn Hudgins Manley; and former wife, Rhonda Sneddon.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN where visitation will be Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service to begin at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Williams Cemetery in Springville, TN.
