Marjorie A. Minson

Marjorie A. Minson, age 84 of Puryear, TN, died Sunday, April 7, 2019, at her residence in Puryear, TN.

She retired after working many years as a cosmetologist.  Marjorie was a Jehovah’s Witness by belief.  She was a wonderful quilter, enjoyed sewing and reading.  She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Marjorie was born September 24, 1934, in Paragould, AR, to the late Paul Hollifield and the late Ella Smith Hollifield.

She was married for 30 years to Wayne C. Minson, who preceded her in death in 2005.

She is survived by two daughters, Carla (Dwayne) Smith of Puryear, TN, and Stephanie Owen of Paducah, KY; two sisters, Catherine Givens of St. Louis, MO, and Jackie (Bob) Stewart of St. Louis, MO; 13 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Jospeh Dima and Freddie McKnight; two sisters, Mary Kirksey and Linda Grissom; and one brother, Ronnie Hollifield.

Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242.  The body is to be cremated with no services planned.
