Marion "Gabby" Strong

Marion “Gabby” Strong, age 83 of Buchanan, TN, died Thursday, November 8, 2018, at her residence in Buchanan, TN.

She retired from AT&T as a customer service representative.  She enjoyed sailing and traveling the Eastern seaboard.  Gabby was an avid electronic buff, a computer hobbiest, and an animal lover. She was Catholic in faith.

Gabby was born July 14, 1935, in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Clyde Henry Manning and the late Lillie Sarah Smotherman Manning.

She was married to George Strong, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by one daughter, Lillie (James) Collier of Denhan Springs, LA; two sons, Myran Drawdy of Caruthersville, MO, and Joe (Cathy) Drawdy of Buchanan, TN; one sister, Barbara Cews of Fellesnere, FL; four grandchildren, James Jason Collier, Sarah Francis Verzwyvelt, Amy Renee Manzell, and Ashley Ann Fish; and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Clay Mitchell Drawdy; one sister, Fay Manning; one brother, David Manning; and one grandson, Joseph Cody Drawdy.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN.  The body is to be cremated with no services planned.
