Marilyn's wit, fun sense of humor, and love of family will be missed and the memories she's built over the years will be a lasting gift in the hearts of the family and friends who love her.
Marilyn Jean Lundquist, age 86 of Paris, TN, died June 2, 2017 at her residence in Paris, TN.
Marilyn was a retired supervisor from the comptroller’s office at the Internal Revenue Service. She loved to cook and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, playing cards and was a wizard at the Words with Friends game.
Born November 21, 1930, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Sorensen and the late Evelyn Sharp Sorensen.
She was married to Carl Ray Lundquist for over 48 years. Shortly after their wedding, they moved from Minneapolis, MN to California to raise their three children. After her husband's death in 1996, Marilyn joined her son and his family in Tennessee.
Marilyn is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Michael) Davis of Caledonia, MI, and Lisa Elliott of Auburn, CA; one son, Mark Lundquist of Paris, TN; one sister, Millicent Skinner of Venice, CA; eleven grandchildren: Patricia (Michael) Spiegel, Brian (Colleen) Davis, Melodie (Donny) Jones, Teresa (Michael) Corrington, Michael (Shannon) Lundquist, Steven (Stephanni) Lundquist, Daniel (Autumn) Lundquist, Stacey Lundquist, Rose Elliott, Vincent Elliott, and Christal Elliott; and ten great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Wallace Sorensen.
