Marilee Burton Bullock, age 88 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at her residence.
She retired after 28 years from Tennessee Valley Authority. She was a member of First Baptist Church Paris and the Lydia Dorcus Sunday School class. Marilee was an avid University of Tennessee Volunteers fan and loved St. Louis Cardinals baseball. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Marilee was born October 27, 1934, in Paris, TN, to the late Edmund Palmer Tayloe and the late Mae Bell Clendenin Tayloe.
She was first married September 16, 1953, to John Thomas Burton, who preceded her in death in 1991. She was later married on July 2, 1996, to Charles Wesley “Chuck” Bullock, who survives, of Paris.
Along with her husband, she is also survived by two daughters, Martha Steffes (Bill) Roberson of Buchanan, TN, and Jan (Phil) Hamilton of Piney Flats, TN; one son, Bob (Susan) Burton of Paris; two stepsons, Gary (Shandry) Bullock of Harrison, TN, and Galen (Terry) Bullock of Ooltewah, TN; two sisters-in-law, Treva Tayloe and Mary Alice Campbell; special nephew, George Campbell; five grandchildren, Casey (Jeremy) Blevins, Travis (Megan) Hamilton, Rachel (Wes) Eads, Liz Burton, and Dan Burton; and six great grandchildren, Luke Blevins, Addie Blevins, Silas Blevins, Grayson Hamilton, Maddox Hamilton, and Austin Eads.
In addition to her parents and her first husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Ed Tayloe; one sister-in-law, Bobbie Paschall; and one nephew, Kenny Paschall.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap Street/PO Box 788, Paris, TN 38242. Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2023, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Dr. Trent Bullock officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Bill Roberson, George Campbell, Jeremy Blevins, Wes Eads, Travis Hamilton, Dan Burton, and Luke Blevins.
Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
