Marie Butler Dykes Sells, age 87, of Paris, Tenn., died Sunday, December 29, 2013, at Paris Healthcare & Rehab Center in Paris, Tenn.
Marie was first married to Earmel William Dykes and he preceded in death. She then married Orval Sells and he also preceded in death.
Marie was a member of First Baptist Church and worked as a self-employed bookkeeper for many years. She also loved cooking, her flowers and her grandchildren and family very much.
She was a daughter of the late Albert Butler and the late Pearlie Butler.
She is survived by her Two Sons, Larry (Linda) Dykes of Mansfield, Tenn., Earmel Don (Dora) Dykes of Santee, Calif.; One Sister, Caroline Bosswell of Holtville, Calif.; Two Brothers, Jimmy Butler of Imperial, Calif., Jerry Butler of Aiken, S.C.; Grandchildren-William Keith (Emily) Dykes of Big Sandy, TN, Michael William (Yvonne) Dykes of La Mesa, CA, Dawn Michelle (Jeff) Dykes of Santee, CA; Great Grandchildren, Ashley Uribe, Jessica Dykes, Lydia Dykes, Macy Dykes.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise Butler and a brother, George Albert Butler.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn., where visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, January 2, 2014 and from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2014 with the Funeral service at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Friday, January 3, 2014.
Dr. Trent Bullock will officiate.
Interment will be in Ramble Creek Cemetery in Big Sandy, Tenn.
