Margie Mcree

Marjorie “Margie” McRee, age 87 of Paris, TN, died Monday, April 23, 2018, at Tennova Healthcare – Volunteer Martin in Martin, TN.

She formerly worked at The Town House and The Tower restaurants as a server for several years.  She was Baptist in belief and formerly attended New Bethel Baptist Church in Paris.

Margie was born January 28, 1931, in Paris, TN.

She was married November 29, 1947, to Clois Travis McRee, who preceded her in death on September 18, 2003.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy (Clemons) Welch of Murray, KY; one brother, W.H. “Dub” Wilson of Paducah, KY; three grandchildren, Brittany (Corey) Hargrove of Murray, KY, Connie Reeves of Murray, KY, and Travis Shelton of Murray, KY; and seven great grandchildren.

Along with her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents, W.H. “Bun” Wilson and Mattie Wilson Lentz; one son, Clois Travis McRee, Jr.; six sisters, Lela Atkins, Edna Earl Wilson, Doris “Tootsie” Paschall, Kitty Wilson, Rebecca Wilson, and Vera Wilson; and six brothers, Charles “Johnny” Lentz, Billy “Little Bun” Wilson, Carl Wilson, Noble Wilson, Wayne Wilson, and Bernard Wilson.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm.  A graveside service will be Saturday, April 28, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN, with Chad Kennedy officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be family & friends.

Burial will be in Walker Cemetery in Paris, TN.
