Margaret E. Moody, age 96, of Paris, Tenn., died Sunday, January 31, 2016, at her residence in Paris, Tenn.
She was a member of Paris First Church of the Nazarene where she had taught Sunday School and had been involved in many other Church activities. She worked over 20 years in Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City, OK and then worked for the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) in Atlanta, GA until her retirement. She was also a member of the Homemakers Club in Paris and she enjoyed writing letters and corresponding with friends and watching The Price Is Right.
Margaret was born August 26, 1919 in Sycamore, KS to the late Hugh Buckley Horner and the late Reca Annettie Penny Horner. She was married October 30, 1981 to Charles Moody and he preceded in death September 22, 1992. She is survived by her one daughter, Esther E. Simmons of Paris, Tenn; one Son, Paul E. Crawford of Paris, Tenn; four Grandchildren, Sharla E. Smith, Julie (Mike) Flores, Jennifer (John) Collier, and Paul Alan Crawford; 8 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Besides her Parents and Husband, she was also preceded in death by a Son-In-Law, Rev. Don Simmons.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, Tenn where the visitation will be Wednesday February 3, 2016 from 4 – 6 pm with the Funeral Service to be at 6:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home. Barry Noble Hart will officiate. Cremation will follow the service then burial will be in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery in Cookeville, TN.
