Margaret S. Flood

Margaret S. Flood, age 87, of Paris, TN, died Friday, November 15, 2024, at her residence.

Margaret retired from Emerson Electric after 36 years. She was a member of West Wood Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed handmaking cards for people. She was an avid baker, and enjoyed making wedding and birthday cakes. But most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Margaret was born April 1, 1937, in Paris, TN to the late Marvin P. Farris and the late Lola Bell McMeans.

She was married on July 16, 1975, to Milford Flood and he preceded in death on May 21, 2005. 

She is survived by one daughter, Marsha (Michael) Aldridge of Paris; two sons, Lee (Betty) Smith of Dyersburg, TN, and Gary (Tina) Flood of Paris; one son-in-law, Ricky Wofford of Paris; one sister, Lula Reaves of Portland, TN; 10 grandchildren, Joey (Ginger) Cary, Ricky (Ashley) Wofford, Adam (Tamra) Bell, Jeremy Flood, Meagan (Travis) Jackson, Holly Flood, Randy (Lydia) Wofford, Shane (Brittany) Normandin, Kris (Amanda) Matthews, and Kim (Jeff) Hampton; 23 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was also preceded in death by one daughter, Vikki Wofford; one son, Kevin Ray Flood; three sisters, Mattie Drew, Catherine Ledford, and Lola Page; and two brothers, James Oliver Hoofman, and J.B. Hoofman.

Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St./ P.O. Box 788, Paris, TN 38242, will be handling the arrangements. Her visitation will be at Ridgeway Funeral Home on Sunday, November 17, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and again on Monday, November 18, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Page officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joey Cary, Ricky Wofford, Randy Wofford, Adam Bell, Shane Normandin and Travis Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Lucas Wofford, Brody Wofford and Devin Wofford.

Burial will follow the service in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
