Midway Materials brick salesman Marcus Alexander, 56, of Puryear died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Henry County Medical Center. The cause of death hasn’t been given.
His wife, Patty Priddy Alexander, survives. They were married on Feb. 1, 1985.
His funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
David Allbritten and Latricia Trull will officiate.
Burial will be in Puryear City Cemetery.
Named as pallbearers are David “Pudge” Alexander, Roland and Bruce Alexander, Corey Eldridge, Larry Priddy, Justin Hosford, Jacob Wilson and Steve Looney.
Nieces and nephews will be honorary pallbearers.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday and after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Born in Murray on July 21, 1956, he was a son of Thomas P. and Ann Snow Alexander of Puryear.
He was a member of Puryear United Methodist Church. A family member said he was an avid golfer and an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinal baseball team, the University of Tennessee football team and the Tennessee Titans and enjoyed watching all sports. The family member also said he was a very kind and patient man and loved by all who knew him.
He also leaves one stepdaughter: Farrah (Andy) Salmon of McKenzie; two stepsons: Justin and Paul Hosford, both of Puryear; three brothers: David “Pudge” Alexander of Puryear and Roland (Annette) Alexander and Bruce (Becky) Alexander, both of Puryear;
One grandchild: Austin Hosford of Puryear; three sisters-inlaw: Bonnie (David) Eldridge and Kathy (Steve) Looney, both of Paris, and Donna (Johnny) Jones of Wilmer, Ala.; a brotherin-
law: Larry (Michele) Priddy of Hendersonville; his in-laws, James and Ruth Priddy of Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
