Maggie Quinlan

Maggie Frances Quinlan, age 86 of Paris, TN, died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN.

Maggie was a member of Thompson Creek Baptist Church. She was a master gardener, who enjoyed painting, reading, and traveling. She formerly worked for Mobil Oil in Illinois.

Maggie was born July 20, 1932, in East Prairie, MO, to the late Carl Dodd and the late Naomi Hayes Dodd.

She was married on October 8, 1976 to Harry William Quinlan who preceded in death on February 5, 2001.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Kristina Barnes (Richard) Varsho of Oceanside, CA and Krystal Barnes (Shawn) Henning of Baltimore, MD; five great grandchildren, Jonathan Varsho, Kimberley Varsho, Sarah Henning, Destiny Henning, and Michael Henning; one niece, Sheila Dodd Cox of Henry, TN; two nephews, William “Bill” Dodd of Henry, TN, and David (Becky) Gilbert of Elwood, IL; several great nieces and nephews; and special caregivers, Tim and Kathy Swift of Paris, TN.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Michael Leon Barnes; two sisters, twin sister, Marion Dodd, and Katherine Dodd Gilbert; one brother, Charles Curtis Dodd; and one niece, Deborah Dodd Bradwell.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Saturday, September 8, 2018, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 1:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Bro. Billy Ross officiating.

Pallbearers will be Mike Baker, Garth Baker, Tim Swift, Garry Phillips, Jerry Simmons, and Larry Parker.   Harrel Shopher is named as an honorary pallbearer.

Burial with be in Henry Cemetery in Henry, TN.
