Mae Dell Holt

Mae Dell Holt, age 81 of Paris, TN, died Friday, June 8, 2018, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN.

She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church Paris.

Mae Dell was born August 25, 1936, in Paris, TN, to the late Jim Burdin and the late Daisy Waters Burdin.

She was married October 12, 1957, to John E. Holt, who preceded her in death on December 7, 2011.

She is survived by two sisters, Emily Ruth (Hank) Fathera of Murfreesboro, TN, and Martha Fay (W.C) Bruce of Ashland, MS; two grandchildren, Nicole (Jay) Hosford of Paris, TN, and JR (Kelly) Holt of Paris, TN; three great grandchildren; special niece, Tammy Welsh of Murfreesboro TN; and special nephew, Danny Welsh of Cottontown, TN.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, J.D. Burdin and Hurley Burdin; two sisters, Myrtle Lowe and Louise Kee; and one nephew, Alan Welsh.

The body was cremated.  Local arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where memorial visitation will be Friday, June 22, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Larry Simmons officiating.

Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Springville, TN.

The family would like to give special thanks to Tammy Garland for caring for and finding Mrs. Holt’s most precious possession, her little dog "BABI" a loving home.
