Madalyn was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Claude Wallace and the late Florence Sternberg Wallace. She graduated from Henry Ford Community College, in Dearbom, Michigan. She was employed as a stenographer at Chrysler Corporation in Detroit but her main focus in life was being a loving and devoted wife and mother.
Madalyn was one of the original members of the Helping Hands and served for many years until her home going. She was actively involved in First Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School teacher, youth music choir assistant, and sang in the Senior Choir for over 30 years. She was involved in the Gideon ministry for 43 years with her husband. She served in many officer positions including state Vice-President. Her love for the scripture distribution to the nursing field for over 30 years in Paris was one of her favorite passions. She also served in the local Henry County Jail Ministry for over 14 years. Through her death, she continues to serve others as she was an Organ Donor. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends but we all rejoice in her home going to be with the Lord.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gideons International, Henry County Camp, P.O. Box 583, Paris, TN 38242 or First Baptist Church, 313 North Poplar St., Paris, TN 38242.
