Lula B. Hughes

Lula B. Hughes, age 74, of Puryear, TN died Thursday Sept. 15, 2016 at her residence.
She retired from Haldex in Paris, TN after 27 years. Lula was born November 5, 1941 in McKenzie, TN to the late William Henry Hale and the late Lexie Mae Coleman Hale. Married to James Norman Hughes Sr. who preceded in death.
Survivors include her Three sons, Wayne (Tomoko) Hughes of Puryear, TN; James (Jennifer) Hughes of Leavenworth, KS; Tony (Debbie) Hughes of Newbern, TN. Sister, Alice Barker of Jackson, TN. Brothers, William Howard Hale of Jackson, TN and Marvin Henry (Margot) Hale of Rapid City, South Dakota. Grandchildren, Alan Hughes; Kieseon Hughes; Megan Hughes; Michaela LeBar.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by half sisters, Minnie Trull and Lucille Sanders. A half brother, Glennie Hale and one grandchild, Logan Hughes.
Visitation will be Saturday Sept. 17, 2016 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Sunday Sept. 18, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. until service time Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home. Carol Peppler and Chad Kennedy will officiate.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Burial will follow in Puryear City Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
