Lucille Cannon, age 81 of Mansfield, TN, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at Henry County Medical Center in Paris, TN.

She retired from the Paris Special School District as a lunchroom lady for Inman School in Paris, TN.  She was a member of Manley’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Mansfield, TN.  She was also a member of the Martha Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star & Gavel Club, and the Disabled Veterans.  She was very active in Henry County Helping Hands.

Lucille was born July 19, 1936, in McKenzie, TN to the late Fred Sawyers and the late Irene Thompson Sawyers.

She was married June 1, 1956, to Robert H. “Bob” Cannon, who preceded her in death on April 26, 1993.

She is survived by two daughters, Bobbie Cannon of Paris, TN, and Evelyn (Billy) Haynes of Trenton, TN; one son, Charlie (Yvonne) Cannon of Bruceton, TN; seven grandchildren, Diana Jansen of Marietta, GA, Jessica Cole of Marietta, GA, Derek Cannon of Bruceton, TN, Todd Cannon of Paris, TN, Matthew Dickerson of Paris, TN, Nathan Haynes of Trenton, TN, and Tom Haynes of Trenton, TN; and five great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sisters, Floy Grissom and Nora Lily Skelton.

Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Thursday, November 2, 2017, from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm, and continue Friday, November 3, 2017, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm.  The funeral service will be Friday, November 3, 2017, at 3:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Kenneth Beal officiating.

Pallbearers for the service will be Jimmy Dabbs, Grant Norwood, Butch Williams, Terry Wortman, Clay Nolen, and James Green.

Burial will follow in Manley’s Chapel Cemetery in Mansfield, TN.
