Lucile Boyd, age 96 of Paris, died Tuesday November 15, 2016 at Eiffel Gardens in Paris.
She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. Lucile formerly worked at Salant & Salant, then at the Grove High School cafeteria and retired from the Henry County High School cafeteria. She loved going to church and enjoyed gospel singing. After retirement, she and her husband Leon enjoyed senior social events and were very active.
Lucile was born July 22, 1920 in Paris, TN, the daughter of the late Marshall Mose Clayton and the late Lottie Morgan Clayton. She was married on August 7, 1954 to Luther Leon Boyd and he died October 22, 2011.
She is survived by one daughter, Charlotte Ann Button of Paris, TN; two sons, Gerald Wayne Boyd of Paris, TN, and Ronald Lee (Betsy) Boyd of Paris, TN; one sister, Tommie Faye McGuire of Paris, TN; 8 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, Lucile was also preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda May Hicks and Dortha Gean White.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN, where visitation will be Friday November 18, 2016 from 11 am – 1 pm with the funeral service at 1:00 pm Friday at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Chad Kennedy and Johnathan Smith officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Paris, TN.
