Lowell Thomas Brisendine, age 85 of Paris, TN, died Sunday, May 12, 2019, at his residence in Paris, TN.
He retired after 35 years as the owner and operator of Roger’s Jewelers in Paris. He was a graduate of Puryear High School Class of 1952 and was very proud of his Puryear classmates. He attended Bradley University where he learned the art of watch repair. Lowell was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean War Conflict. He was a former member of both the Optimist Club and Rotary Club in Paris. He loved traveling, camping, fishing, and motorcycles. He was a longtime member of East Wood Church of Christ in Paris.
Lowell was born June 8, 1933, in Puryear, TN, to the late Wade T. Brisendine and the late Estelle Taylor Brisendine.
He was married May 25, 1958, to Joy Rawls Brisendine, who survives, of Paris, TN.
Along with his wife, he is also survived by one daughter, Jacquta (Kelly) Burke of Paris, TN; and one granddaughter, Dana Burke of Paris, TN.
Arrangements are being handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home, and continue Wednesday, May 15, 2019, from 9:00 am – 11:00 am. The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11:00 am at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Roger Burke, Jr., and John Dale officiating.
Pallbearers will be Larry Brisendine, Dave Perry, Roy Medlock, Ricky Taylor, Gary Moon, and Billy Anderson.
Burial will be in Puryear City Cemetery in Puryear, TN.
