Lovelle Whitney Wheatley

Lovelle Whitney Wheatley, age 93 of Knoxville, TN, formerly of Henry County, died Wednesday, May 22, 2019, in Knoxville, TN.

She formerly worked many years as an Admitting Clerk at Henry County General in Paris. Lavelle was a former member of Fairview Baptist Church in Paris, TN. She enjoyed painting, traveling, and collecting crystal glassware.

Lovelle was born April 22, 1926 in Big Sandy, TN, to the late George Whitney, and to the late Mattie Askew Whitney.

She married in 1946 to Carl G. Wheatley, who preceded her in death, July 6, 2009.

She is survived by one son, H.C. (Connie) Wheatley of Sevierville, TN; five grandchildren, Patrick V. (Jamie) Wheatley of Salisbury, England, Nicholas V. (Valerie) Wheatley of Sevierville, TN, Courtney V. Wheatley of Washington D.C., Michael V. (Keri) of Austin, TX, and Alexis Wheatley of Sevierville, TN; and two great grandchildren, Genevieve Wheatley, and Kieran Wheatley.

There will be no public services. A private family burial will take place on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in Memorial Cemetery in Paris, TN.
