Louise Marshall Travis, age 94 of Paris, TN, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, at her residence in Paris, TN.
She was a homemaker who formerly worked in the auction business with her husband, and at the Clippard Plant in Paris. Louise was a graduate of Grove High School and a very faithful member of Maplewood Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening flowers, making quilts, cooking, and loved her church family.
Louise was born March 13, 1924, in Paris, TN, to the late Robert Gaylon Marshall and the late Nellie R. Paschall Marshall.
She was married to James Edward Travis, who preceded her in death on September 13, 1996.
She is survived by one daughter-in-law, Norma Travis of Paris, TN; two granddaughters, Julie Travis of Paris, TN, and Jennifer Travis of Paris, TN; and one niece, Sandra Marshall Byrum of Olive Branch, MS.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one son, Terry Edward Travis; and one brother, Charles Marshall.
Arrangements will be handled by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St., Paris, TN, 38242, where visitation will be Saturday, March 9, 2019, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, and continue Sunday, March 10, 2019, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. The funeral service will be Sunday, March 10, 2019, at 2:00 pm at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Corey Cain officiating.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Miles, Gary Vandiver, Kenny Cook, Jimmy Barrett, Dale Aston, and Randy Spencer.
Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery in Paris, TN.
