Loretta Williams Mathews of Springville, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at Morningside Of Paris.
She married Leonard “Matt” Mathews in October of 1951, he preceded her in death February 6, 2014.
Born April 17, 1934, in Buchanan, TN, she was daughter of the late Hoyt Williams and Annie Stout Williams.
Loretta was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and spent many summers as the cook at Camp Hazelwood. She was a loved wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
She leaves two sons: Anthony (Vickie) Mathews of Albuquerque, NM and Kenneth (Cindy) Mathews of Crossville, TN; seven grandchildren: Ashley Mathews Claybourne, Erin Mathews, Andrew Mathews, Amber Mathews, Anthony Mathews Jr., Thomas Mathews and Harley Mathews.
Additional survivors include five great grandchildren.
Along with her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother: Leon Williams
Pallbearers for the service are Earl Williams, Jerry Williams, Terry Williams, Andrew Mathews, Gerald Rice and Alan Harris.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2017, from 4-7 PM at Ridgeway Funeral Home and continue on Monday, October 9, 2017 from 9 to 9:30 AM. There will be a Graveside service Monday, October 9, 2017, at 10 AM at the Buck Williams Cemetery in Springville, TN, with Danny Williams and Williams Ragsdale officiating.
Burial will follow the service.
