Lorene Wells

Helen Lorene Wells, age 97, of Springville, TN, died Friday, January 12, 2018, at Paris Healthcare Center. She was the widow of Fugate Flannery Wells, Jr. They married December 14, 1941, and he preceded her in death June 16, 1972.
Lorene was born January 16, 1920, in Springville, TN. She was the daughter of the late Guy Bucy and the late Kate Wainscott Bucy. She was a retired LPN from the Henry County Medical Center after working 25 years. She also was a cook at the Henry County Jail during the service of her husband as Sheriff. Lorene was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Buchanan, TN.
Survivors include: a daughter: Ann (Charlie) Plunkett of Albany, GA; three sons: Robert (Anita) Wells of Paris, TN, James (Lisa) Wells and Joseph (Cathey) Wells both of Springville, TN; three brothers: James “Pete” (Carolyn) Bucy and Charles (Alice)Bucy both of Paris and Billy Bucy of Royal Oak, MI. She has nine grandchildren: Rob Wells of Paris, Hunter (Lisa) Wells of Murfreesboro, TN, Amy (Bill) Rhodes of Memphis, TN, Robert (Marcie) Plunkett of Tampa, FL, Greg Wells of Nashville, TN, Mike (Anna Laura) Wells of Nashville, TN, Scott Wells of Marietta, GA, April (Jeff) McNutt of Memphis, TN, and Shane (Jeannie) Bostick of McKenzie, TN.
Additional survivors include 15 great children: Davis Wells, Landry Wells, Hank Wells, Madison Rhodes, Charley Rhodes, Margaret Ann Plunkett, Sarah Jane Plunkett, James Wells, Jessica Wells, Mary Scarlett Wells, Jonathan McNutt, Katelyn McNutt, Paxton Bostick, Hayden Bostick and Reagan Bostick.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Richard Wells; four brothers: Johnny Bucy, Carlos Bucy, JT Bucy and Bobby Bucy; and a great grandson: Tucker Wells.
Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
Ridgeway Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Visitation will be Saturday, January 20, 2018, after 11 AM until her funeral service. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, January 20, 2018, in LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home at 1PM with Jimmy Farmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Park.
